Yes, This Is The Place

I'm inserting this post for identification purposes only. Over here (or above, actually) you can see beautiful Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where our fearless Slackers got their start. More or less.

Okay guys, take it!

That art museum sure gives the lakefront a different look. Has anyone been there? I never seem to have time when I'm in town.

Yes, Anita! I've been there, and REALLY enjoyed it. As much as I love living in MT and AK for the past 18 years, I have to say that neither state is chock full of art museums, you know? History museums, yes. Art, not so much.

My dad was head of the art department at Whitefish Bay for...gosh, I don't know -- 20 or 30 years? And both my parents are artists, so this stuff is ingrained in me, and I do miss it. Maddie and I visited Milwaukee about 2 years ago, I guess, and had a chance to go there with my mom. It wonderful, and the restaurant was okay, too!

I'll have to find out what the hours are, and plan it in to my schedule sometime. I don't think they're open on Sunday-- I might've tried that once.

The Calatrava is open on Sundays & every day of the week. It's very
beauteous! perhaps I Didn't spell this right but I know that today there were many good friends that did not know that there are many people who care about us all-all of the time! It goes W/out saying

The Calatrava is one of the most thrilling art museums in the world. It looks like 2 beautiful ships on a Cubist cruise. The whole thing is lined up with the rising sun sculpture on Wisconsin Ave (the one my Dad still calls "the awful orange girders",) and it is glorious.
I miss Lake Michigan.
